Check-up and Digital Imaging
A six-monthly examination: intraoral check, digital X-ray if needed and a written summary of the day. A record is kept even when nothing is found; the next check-up is compared against it.
DetailsFor a patient with no remaining teeth in a jaw — or teeth that cannot be saved — this is a fixed bridge carried by a small number of implants. Built on four it is called All-on-4, on six All-on-6; the choice between them is not marketing but the bone volume seen on the scan.
The process
- CT scan and intraoral scan; measuring where the bone is and how much of it
- Planning implant positions on the computer and preparing the surgical guide
- Surgery: placing the implants
- Where suitable, a temporary fixed bridge the same day or within a few days
- After healing (three months on average), impression and the final bridge
- Follow-up
What we talk through
If bone is insufficient, the number, angle or need for grafting changes — that is visible on the scan, not in the mirror. Smoking and uncontrolled diabetes affect healing directly and are discussed openly at the first visit. Cleaning habits change too: interdental brushes and regular check-ups are part of this treatment, not an extra.

After treatment
Soft food and cold compresses for the first week. Interdental brushing is taught. Check-ups every three months in the first year, every six months after that.
