Check-up and Digital Imaging
A six-monthly examination: intraoral check, digital X-ray if needed and a written summary of the day. A record is kept even when nothing is found; the next check-up is compared against it.
Tuna Oral and Dental Health Clinic works in two sections in Caddebostan: general dentistry for adults, and a separate room with a paediatric dentist for children. The first visit is for examination; what will be done is given in writing, and the decision is made together.
You don't need to know the name of the treatment. Pick the sentence closest to yours; we explain what we do under that heading and how it goes.
Get to know the clinic before you arrive: reception, treatment rooms, imaging and sterilisation — what happens at each stop is written down.

From preventive care to implants and orthodontics: what each involves, how many visits it takes and what to watch afterwards.
Pick a treatment and see the order of visits, how long each takes and the waiting periods between them on one line. The timeline is a general frame; yours is settled after the examination.
Durations are averages and vary from person to person; the number of visits and waiting periods are decided after examination and imaging.
Each device in the clinic exists to answer a question; below is which one is used when, and why.
Both jaws in one exposure; a digital sensor instead of film, so a lower dose. The image is reviewed together on screen.
A digital impression with a small camera instead of impression paste. Aligners, crowns and veneers go to the lab as this file; repeat impressions become rare.
You see on screen what the dentist sees: where the decay is, the edge of a filling, the state of the gum. Decisions are made together.
For implant and impacted-tooth planning, bone height, width and distance from the nerve are measured to the millimetre. Not routine; ordered only when needed.
For clear aligners and smile alignment, the outcome is modelled on screen before starting. Whether expectation and plan match is discussed at that stage.
An X-ray is taken only when a question needs answering; it is not routine at every examination.
Sterilisation, single-use materials and record-keeping: the same for every patient, in front of every patient.
Instruments are held in disinfectant, cleaned in an ultrasonic bath, pouched individually and sterilised in an autoclave with pressurised steam at 134 °C. Every pouch carries an indicator strip.
The sterile pouch is opened beside the chair, once you are seated. Seeing that the instrument is being opened for the first time that day is information you get without having to ask.
Needle tips, saliva ejectors, cups, bibs and gloves are new for every patient. The chair, lamp handle and worktop are wiped down after each patient; time is set aside between patients.
X-rays, treatment notes and the materials used are kept in your file. For a patient returning years later, what was done to which tooth is visible at a glance.
The founding dentist runs the adult section, the paediatric dentist the children's section; one patient file, one address.

Dentist — Founder
A graduate of Marmara University's Faculty of Dentistry, he founded the clinic in Caddebostan. In the general dentistry section he carries out adult check-ups, fillings, root canals, prosthetics and implants. Following members of the same family of different ages under one plan, on the same day, is the routine he set up.

Paediatric Dentist
Graduated from Marmara University's Faculty of Dentistry and completed her specialty in paediatric dentistry. She runs the clinic's children's section: decay in baby teeth, preventive care and helping a child get used to the dentist without fear are her field. The children's section has its own site at dttunakids.com.
DetailsAppointments run in half-hour blocks; time is kept free during the day for acute pain, and on family visits both rooms work at once.
Open until 19:00

This is a sample day. The hours come from the clinic's opening times and the treatment names from the site's own content; it contains no real appointment records.

For whom, about what, since when: make three choices and your note is ready. It goes to WhatsApp in one tap, and the dentist sees the same note at the examination.
The note is not a diagnosis and does not replace an examination; it only speeds up the conversation. Nothing is stored on our server; the note leaves from your own WhatsApp. You don't have to include personal health details.
Hello, I'd like to book an appointment for myself. Topic: Check-up and cleaning. No complaint, just a check-up.

Listening, an oral examination · an X-ray if needed
A written plan · number of visits and timing
Treatment · then a follow-up appointment
This outlines how the clinic works; it is not a real patient record or conversation.
The adult and paediatric sections work in the same clinic, in two separate rooms. In one visit you can have your own check-up and your child's appointment.
The time is for planning only: it assumes check-ups; if treatment is needed, its duration is decided after the examination.
Fitting an examination and treatment into a short calendar starts with writing to us before you travel.
Authorised institution under international health tourismSend your travel dates, your latest X-ray if you have one, and your complaint. No diagnosis is made remotely; the aim is to build the calendar correctly.
The examination and possible treatment sessions are arranged around your trip; the first appointment goes to the day after arrival, not the day itself.
Day one is the examination and imaging if needed; the plan is discussed with you in writing the same day.
You receive a summary file of what was done and the care instructions; check-ups continue online where needed.

Answers to what we're asked most in the surgery. If yours isn't here, call or write — we answer on the phone too.
The first visit is for examination: your complaint is heard, the mouth is looked at with an intraoral camera and a panoramic X-ray is taken if needed. What will be done, how many visits it takes and the options are given in writing. Except for acute pain, treatment doesn't start at this visit; you decide with the paper in hand, without hurry.
Call or write on WhatsApp; short slots are kept free during the day for emergencies. On the same day the cause of the pain is found and relieved; the permanent treatment is planned for a later visit if needed. If there is swelling, fever or difficulty swallowing, don't wait.
For most adults a short examination every six months, with scaling if needed, is enough; an X-ray once a year or when there is a question. With gum disease, many fillings or implants the interval can drop to three or four months. Your own routine is set at the first examination.
No; an X-ray is taken only when a question needs answering. A digital sensor works at a fraction of film dose and the field is narrowed to the area concerned. If you are pregnant or think you might be, say so; unless urgent the X-ray is postponed, and if needed it is taken with a protective apron in the narrowest field.
Health advertising regulations in Türkiye do not permit prices to be published online. Besides, two treatments with the same name can need different visits and materials in two patients. The cost of your plan is given to you in writing, individually, after the examination; estimates are not given over the phone either.
Yes; the family visit exists for exactly that. The child's appointment is planned in the children's section with the paediatric dentist, yours in the room next door in the same time window. Siblings are booked on the same day too. Tick "family visit" on the appointment form or say so on the phone.
Write your complaint or the topic in a sentence; we'll put the appointment at a time that won't be rushed. Say if you'd like a family visit.
