A veneer is a porcelain leaf about half a millimetre thick, bonded to the outer surface of a front tooth. Unlike a crown, only a very thin layer is removed from the front face — or none at all.
With clenching or grinding, marked crowding or teeth with large fillings, other options are discussed instead. Colour expectations are also settled at the first visit: the shade is chosen to match the neighbouring teeth.

Avoid hard and strongly coloured food for 24 hours after bonding. A night guard is used if you grind. Check-up every six months.
